Tugging sensation

Aching, pain and stinging

The other side effect of freeze body sculpting is stinging, pain and aching at the treatment area. The sensations begin immediately after the treatment and lasts up to two weeks after the treatment. The reason for the pain, stinging and aching is due to the tissues and skin being exposed to cold temperatures. The post related pain due to cool sculpting treatment lasts for about three to eleven days and disappears.

Bruising, swelling, redness and skin sensitivity

Most of the side effects are on the treatment site. Temporary redness, swelling, skin sensitivity and bruising occur due to cold temperatures. The side effects go away after a few weeks. The procedure has the same effects as frostbite. It targets the fat cells underneath the skin. However, you will not get frostbite from coolsculpting treatment. The procedure is safe.

Paradoxical adipose hyperplasia

Another side effect of coolsculpting is paradoxical adipose but it happens on rare occasion. The side effect is more common in men. The side effect occurs when the fat cells in the area being treated grow larger than being smaller. It is not clear why this happens. It does not appear on its own and it is vital to see a qualified doctor.


Who should avoid the procedure?

The best coolsculpting is a safe procedure to reduce the stubborn fat cells. However, there are still those who should not undergo the treatment. You have conditions such as cryoglobulinemia, cold agglutinin disease and paroxysmal cold hemoglobulinuria. If you have these conditions, then it can cause serious complications. It is important to consult your doctor before performing the procedure.
You should keep in mind that you cannot use coolsculpting to treat obesity. The treatment can only be useful to remove stubborn fat.
